The Volunteer Experience

Thank you for your interest in being a volunteer!

When you volunteer with Meals on Wheels San Antonio, you are doing much more than delivering a meal! You are creating moments of personal connection and much-needed wellness checks for our seniors. Your support enables our senior neighbors to age independently and safely in the comfort of their own homes, making a significant difference in our community.

Thanksgiving volunteers play a crucial role in delivering hot meals and the holidays to seniors and disabled neighbors across San Antonio and surrounding areas.

Meal Delivery volunteers deliver care and nutrition to the thousands of seniors and homebound members of our community every day while meeting their neighbors and creating lasting friendships with some of the fantastic people they help us serve.

Friendly Visitor volunteers can help those we serve to improve their physical, emotional, and mental well-being by reducing loneliness and social isolation through in-person visits, phone calls, or weekly written mail.

AniMeals volunteers help those we serve keep their furry companions fed and healthy, too! The primary opportunity for volunteers is to deliver supplemental pet food to clients on the third weekend of the month.
