
In 2025, Meals on Wheels San Antonio saw an increased need for services despite little increase in community resources. With this in mind, we have started to implement Client Supported Meals as an option for anyone interested in quickly joining our services.
Through Client Supported Meals, funding sources include client contributions and philanthropy. A client contribution of approximately $5.00 per meal (for a total of $100 per month) increases our capacity, and clients assessed for need start services sooner. As a result, our waitlist is reduced.

Frequently Asked Questions
Unfortunately, there aren't enough resources to cover the need, and we know the need is even greater than those we serve. If people who can contribute to their meals contribute, we can help those who are truly unable.
The client contribution is $100.00 per month.
We will deliver approximately 20 days per month and are asking for individuals interested in contributing $5.00 per meal.
You will be charged monthly. If you start receiving service between the 1st and 15th, you will be charged on the 15th. If you start receiving service between the 16th and the end of the month, your card will be charged on the 1st of the following month.
Meals on Wheels will receive your contribution, but it may appear on your bank statement as Bloomerang Payments. We want you to know this is the online processor used to process credit/debit transactions and is perfectly safe and encrypted.
There are situations in which a refund may be given, and those will be reviewed on an individual basis.
In the client agreement, we ask you to notify us at least 24 hours before your absence. If you notify us, then we will not try to deliver.
Unfortunately, we are not able to provide a replacement meal. Your contributions will still ensure that those with the most need will receive meals when needed.
It depends on where you live. You will receive hot or frozen meals depending on your delivery area. You can see the Monthly Menu by clicking below!
You are contributing to the cost of the meal but not covering the full cost. Because the meal is still partly funded by donations, we must be as effective as possible when delivering it.
Your meals will be delivered by a volunteer or Meals on Wheels staff member. This is usually determined by the delivery area.
Any gifts you make that are separate from your monthly contribution help ensure that those in need of services and who are unable to contribute can still receive the support they need.
