VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Meals on Wheels San Antonio is excited to announce the opening of new meal distribution sites! Meal delivery volunteers deliver a nutritious meal and a wellness check to homebound and disabled neighbors in San Antonio. When you deliver, you’re helping seniors age in place and maintain independence. Before the pandemic, Meals on Wheels San Antonio served a hot meal every day, Monday to Friday. Volunteering, even once a week, you can help us get back to hot meals!
Meal Delivery Volunteers deliver meals to homebound adults and seniors Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. to noon.
The pick-up time is 11:00 a.m. Monday-Friday.
Check out our 2024 Holiday Delivery Schedule.
Meals on Wheels San Antonio works with community partners to offer pick-up sites throughout the city. Pick-up sites serve volunteers and clients nearest to each site. To see a list of our current sites, please see below.
Volunteers are essential to Meals on Wheels' mission. Below, find out more about the volunteer experience from the volunteers themselves!

I CAN'T VOLUNTEER FOR MEAL DELIVERY; HOW CAN I HELP?
More than 4,000 individuals receive five meals each week, each costing $8.50 to produce. We would greatly appreciate a donation of any size to support our efforts. You can donate online and via Venmo or Cash App (Username: @mowsatx). An $8.50 gift is more than a meal for a neighbor in need! As a reminder, mail donations must be postmarked by December 31!
