WHAT OUR IN-PERSON SERVICES OFFER
The primary in-person service that we offer is Grace Place Alzheimer’s Center, which is San Antonio’s only non-profit adult day center that specializes in Alzheimer’s and dementia care. Our Center provides in-person services that include socialization and activities for those living with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia. These activities focus on the strengths of our clients and are facilitated by staff trained in dementia care. For family members, caring for a person with dementia can be difficult and stressful. At Grace Place, we aim to alleviate stress by providing affordable and safe respite care. Through our day center, our clients’ families can continue to lead more balanced and healthy lives.
We have also continued our partnership with Grace Notes Community Singers to provide additional in-person services! Grace Notes Community Singers is an intergenerational choir for people living with dementia, Parkinson’s Disease, and other neurodegenerative disorders and their care partners. No experience is necessary – you are welcome to join us at any time. Our choir is led by Amy Standridge, MM, MT-BC, a Board Certified Music Therapist with a choral degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
